beginner lessons

Our beginner lessons on our specific beginner cables are now finished for the season. But don’t panic, you can still learn how to wakeboard or kneeboard at the Park! Our experienced instructors will still be on hand to coach people on the main lake.

The Cable Wakeboard Intro is the most popular way for beginners and first time visitors with limited experience to learn to wakeboard at Perth Wake Park. Instead of starting out on the main lake which can be an intimidating place for total beginners, we have two System 2.0s which are variable speed, straight line cable systems. These are used for our Cable Wakeboard Intro lessons which is the perfect way to learn how to wakeboard at the cable.

Cable Wakeboard Intro tickets include one hour on the Beginner Lake with an instructor as a formal group lesson of up to 8 people, immediately followed by one hour on the Main Lake with further guidance from our experienced instructors. This is a great way to get looked after and shown around the Park if it’s your first time or you have limited cable wakeboarding experience.

The Beginner Lakes have one participant riding at a time, allowing the instructor to adjust the speed to the ability of the rider. The smaller lake and personalised tuition makes it the perfect way to learn in a safe and relaxed environment. Once you have been taught the basics on the beginner lake, your instructor will bring you to the main lake and conduct a briefing consisting of how it all works. Your instructor will then give you a basic board to ride on the main lake, this is nopt for use on any obstacles. Feel free to grab a knee board which is an awesome way to experience the main lake at a lower skill level. It’s also great fun!

Spaces on the Cable Wakeboard Intro can be booked below, please select your required session time.

You MUST arrive 1/2 hour before your session time to check in, get kitted out, meet your instructor and get ready. Please ensure everyone has watched the safety video and signed a waiver before coming to the Park. We are a busy Wake Park, anyone that is running late will have to join the session when they are ready and this time cannot be added back onto your ticket duration.

Any booking changes must be received at least 48 hours before your session time in writing to info@perthwakepark.com.au. No shows will be charged in full.

We also privately hire these systems which is perfect for parties or small groups looking for a private session. Please contact us for further details and to book a private System 2.0 session.
